Whichever whole-home option you pick installs on your main line and treats water before it ever reaches your plumbing. The salt system removes the calcium and magnesium outright; the saltless conditions them so they stop depositing. Either way, every fixture and appliance downstream is working with treated water.

Manufacturer warranty

Control valve 5 years · media tank 7 years · ion-exchange media 5 years · carbon media 3 years. The drinking-water system carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty. Registration is required within 30 days, and we handle it at install.

Ongoing maintenance

The softener needs salt, about a bag every month or two for most households. Drinking-water filters are replaced based on your system's indicator lights and your water quality; we'll set your service schedule at install.

Before you book.

Will you actually give me a price over the phone?
Yes. Tell us the size of your home, how many people live there, and what your water has been doing, and you'll get real numbers on that call. We don't require a home visit to give you a price, and we're not going to send someone to sit in your living room for three hours. If your water doesn't need treatment, we'll say that too.
What does a system cost?
It depends on the size of your home, your water use, and what your plumbing looks like where the system needs to go, which is why a banner ad can't tell you and a short call can. What we won't do is give you one number on the phone and a different one at your door. If something about your setup changes the install scope, you hear about it before we order anything, not on the day. Financing is available.
Do you need to come to my house before you'll quote me?
No. We price your system on the phone. If you'd like a technician to look at where the equipment would go before you commit, we're happy to do that, but it's a look at your plumbing and not a sales appointment, and it isn't required to get a number out of us.
Won't a softener hurt my water pressure?
A properly sized system is designed to maintain normal household flow. The manufacturer lists pressure drop at rated flow as under 15 PSI. Sizing is the part that matters. An undersized system is what causes pressure complaints, which is exactly what the in-home test prevents.
Why do I need reverse osmosis if I already have a softener?
They do different jobs. A softener exchanges hardness minerals so your plumbing, appliances, and skin stop dealing with scale, but it isn't a drinking-water purifier. Reverse osmosis reduces dissolved solids and other RO-addressable contaminants at one dedicated tap. One protects the house; the other refines what you drink.
How often do filters get replaced?
It depends on your water quality and how much you use. The drinking-water system has filter-life indicators that blink when replacement is due. That, plus any change in flow or taste, is your signal. We set a service schedule with you at installation rather than guessing at an interval now.
Salt or saltless? Which one do I actually want?
Salt actually removes the hardness minerals, so your hardness reading drops and scale stops forming. That is true soft water, and the trade is a bag of salt every month or two. Saltless removes nothing: it changes how the minerals behave so they stop sticking to your pipes and fixtures, and the carbon tank takes the chlorine out. Your water still tests hard, but it feels better and asks nothing of you for the next decade. Want the hardness gone, take Option 1. Want it handled and forgotten, take Option 2. We'll tell you which one suits your water on the call. A pitcher or fridge filter, for what it's worth, improves one pitcher of water and does nothing for your water heater, your shower, or your laundry.
How long does installation take?
Most whole-home installations are completed in a single day by our own technicians. We'll confirm the timeline when we size your system, since access and plumbing conditions vary from house to house.
